Dayspring privacy policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Dayspring is a personal day planner, run by its owner for his own use. It is not offered to the public. This page explains what it does with Google account data.
What it accesses
When a Google account is connected, Dayspring asks for Google Calendar access (the calendar and calendar.events scopes) and the account's basic profile and email address. It uses Calendar access to show calendar events beside tasks, and to add, move and remove the time blocks planned in Dayspring and, if there isn't one already, to create a “Timeboxing” calendar for them by default. Google sign-in does not ask for Gmail or any other Google service. Separately, the owner can give Dayspring a Gmail app password so its Email page can list recent inbox messages over IMAP; that is not a Google sign-in grant.
What it stores
The sign-in tokens needed to keep the Google connection working, and any Gmail app password, both encrypted, on a private server. Calendar events are read from Google when the app is used. Dayspring keeps only what it needs to plan the day: the Google account's email address, the names, colours and display settings of the account's calendars, which events have been hidden or ignored, the time blocks it created and the Google events that match them, the times of the events each planned day was planned around, and the title, date, length and link of any event turned into a task. For an email turned into a task it keeps a reference to the message, plus its subject and preview text as the task's title and notes unless they are edited.
Sharing
Google user data is not sold, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models. It is not shared with anyone else, with one exception the owner controls: if he connects an AI assistant to Dayspring, that assistant can read his tasks and day plans, which include the title, date, length and link of any calendar event he has turned into a task, and how much of each planned day his calendar took up. That assistant's provider's own terms govern what it does with what it reads.
Google API Services
Dayspring's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
Disconnect Google in Dayspring's Integrations settings, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. All stored data for an account is deleted on request.
